A scheme announcement is not proof that applications are open today. Check the administering agency's latest notice and application route before spending time or money on an application.
Check the current application route
Find the official scheme page and look for the current notification, opening and closing dates, amendments, application instructions and delivery partner. Check whether the scheme applies in your location and to your activity and stage. Some support is delivered through a lender, incubator or state office: ask that partner whether it is currently accepting applications.
Resolve uncertainty before proceeding
If the notice and portal disagree, contact the administering office using details on its official site. Ask which document is current, whether funds or places are available, and what happens after submission. Keep a copy of the notice and any written response, with the date you checked. A page with no closing date does not necessarily mean a window is open.
Use the application checklist to organise documents and questions. Avoid anyone promising approval for a fee; programme conditions and selection decisions remain with the administering body.
